I was looking to replace all of my windows, a few doors and also to replace my conservatory roof. We had Melissa come out to give a quotation, she was very professional and knowledgeable and great asset to the company. The installation went smoothly, fitters arrived on time and was very professional and tidy. I have highly recommended Polar Bear Windows to all my friends. My windows look amazing and my guardian roof has transformed my home. Great company and service.

Very impressive! Having got a quote through the website (which was very competitive) I thought I would visit the showroom and get a feel for the company, before parting with any money. The business is clearly very well established and has been, and will be, in the local area for years. The showroom had 100's of products on display. Whist this meant it was a little cramped, it was great to be able to see, feel and try the products. Although I am looking at new double glazed windows I was so impressed with the front doors, specifically the composite doors with Ultion locks, that I am likely to be adding one to my order. Staff were polite, informative and attentive, yet not overbearing or pushy.

Seriously disappointed with this company. Having had my windows installed in a 'building of interested' which required adherence to building regs I thought they had done a nice job. My carpets in my bedroom were damaged as they installed on one of the wettest days of the year leaving black marks everywhere. But to give them their due they offered to get them cleaned which I stupidly declined thinking I could do it myself. The windows were such an improvement though that I was really pleased. Fast forward to now, I haven't been able to get the black stains out of the carpet. Instead I'm left with grey stains everywhere, despite using a rug doctor on them. Not only that but my windows have been highlighted as contravening building regs by the council and my management company. Polar bear provided me with no help in sorting that out, barely even acknowledging that the windows they installed failed to duplicate the plans they submitted. No apology. Emails I have sent detailing how annoyed I am have been ignored. At one point they even suggested that I would have to pay for replacements because I had signed that I was happy with the work. I'm now stuck in waiting for one of their workman to come and fit some sort of decorative bar that will hopefully satisfy the council. He's 2 hours late and this is the 4th time they have attempted to fit these bars. On the last attempt, they had the wrong style of bar....I only choose this company because of the Which? trusted trader. The whole thing has been one disappointment after another.

Avoid at all costs! The finishing was awful with cracks around the windows, left with cold spots and very bad condensation. Feels like a constant battle, constantly being spoken to like a child, very unprofessional. They came out and “fixed” one of our windows and charged us £50 for the trouble even though the installer said it should have been done at the installation stage! Been going on for over a year now and we have resorted to fixing them ourselves. These pictures speak a thousand words.. ** Edit based on Polar Bears response** We’re genuinely shocked you are surprised and disappointed by a negative review, all you need to do is read our email interaction to see us specifically call out our problems over and over again. And also us calling out we don’t appreciate being spoken to how we were being spoken to. You say you came out in 2020 to help, an engineer came out and told us it was because we had 2 plants in our room. And we were provided with a dehumidifier which did not help. Nor did you even follow up and see yourselves if it had even helped. We were then told it wasn’t the windows, it was our “house” so you said you would remove the window to check our walls and would charge us £150. This was never done. You then came and fixed the cracks on one of the windows and charged us £50 for it, which I can only assume means that you are quite happy with the finish provided in the photos. Your installer even told us it should have been done. We have recently had a new heating system installed which included in depth property survey and no issues were raised about out cavity walls or insulation. The propose for this review is so no one else makes the mistake of using your company, I don’t even want a response any more, we’ve payed to put right your terrible service

We decided to get a new front door and had a great experience with polar bears windows. We don’t normally leave reviews but me and my partner were so impressed with the company throughout the whole process that we thought we would write this. Thank you again

Terrible, a nightmare. The job of replacing all the windows and doors was meant to be completed in 2.5 days in May 2021. However, they left with the wrong lock barrel fitted, the wrong door panel fitted after they weren't able to fit the original door I chose, to wrong sized front door glass, a letterbox that broke with the first post delivery, the silicon not complete, the concreting not complete, the back door not packed or fitted properly etc., all in all has taken seven visits. Unable to have them around for a number of weeks, one would have thought Polar Bear Windows would have used that time to make sure they had everything they needed to finish the job, but no. With the last visit they put in the right barrel but the wrong door handle and now refuse to come back and put the correct door handle in until I have paid the balance in full which I believe contravenes their own contract and are threatening legal action. This is how they treat seventy year old people with chronic health issues.

Great service from start to finish, new windows have really transformed my house. It means I could ventilate the house properly which has been great during the hot weather we have been having recently. There was a few delays but I expected that as I did order the windows during a pandemic hah. Would definitely recommend the company!
