Piccadilly Gardens used to be a beautiful place to visit years ago I used to go there on a Sunday for a picnic with my mum and dad there was a lovely water fountain in the middle with flowers all around the gardens and a children's play area and you could go in safety there was Woolworth on one side lewis on the other Pauldens which is now Debenhams was on Market street the biggest mistake was to build Pizza Express and wine bars and restaurants around the Gardens unfortunately Manchester City Council have neglected the gardens for years it's dirty. smells. people taking drugs. drinking beer. people asking you for money everywhere you go. people fighting. carrying knives. people being mugged for money. it's a disgrace until Manchester City Council get there fingers out and bulid a new gardens it will stay the same it's a embarrassing to Manchester and the council should be ashamed of themselves

Christmas markets have the main area here this year, busy but easy to get around. Be aware that almost all the market stalls here are food, there are more souvenir/Christmas stalls down Market Street and behind M&S and the Royal Exchange

It's ok but sometimes you can hear people cussing and getting aggressive. It's lovely in the summer, children can go and play in the playground and with the water element. The water feature can be seen to be colourful during late autumn and winter - nice idea for photographs. A lot of shops surround this place 😊
