We went here on our honeymoon. The units are very accommodating and the pools are gorgeous. Waking up to paradise every single day. We enjoyed the balcony whirlpool tub. The gym is a little on the smaller side, but that's ok.. the breakfast makes up for it :)

Hotel is in a good location and staff were all very nice, but overpriced at $640p/n. The rooms are clean but very tired - plaster missing from the walls, dirty lamp shades, chipped cabinets. It also advertises daily housekeeping but that never happened. After waiting all day for them to come so we could do more washing, we eventually had to go ask for fresh towels and toiletry products. It was also really noisy. We could hear all the movement from the room above and as our room opened directly onto the stairwell, we got the noise from the heavy doors slamming and other guests shouting out during the night. There were no pool towels on any days of our stay so we had to use bath towels which wasn’t ideal. The pools were nice and whilst it’s good to know they’re kept clean, it’s probably not ideal for a staff member to be pouring a big container of chlorine in while there are so many little kids swimming. Breakfast was nice but we had to pay for coffee and hot chocolate. When breakfast is included in the room cost, I had expected that would extend to a flat white without having to pay extra. All up, we were disappointed given the reputation peppers has had as a luxury hotel brand.

We stayed for 5 nights. Nice clean rooms and lovely staff. The main massive pool and swim up bar are great but due to not being able to sit at the bar people try to go back to their seats on the other side of the pool regularly spilling drinks or on a few occasions losing full cocktails completely. The pork burger from the pool bar was delicious! The pool would benefit from a few raised areas so you can cross from one side to the other, no real need for it to be that deep for that long. Would also love if the pool bar was open later than 6pm. The serenity pool is lovely and looks stunning. Would benefit from either being Adults only or minimum age of say 12... Hard to get serenity with a 3 year old playing with parents down one end! Great location on the beachfront with only a short walk to all the great restaurants.

Updated: Overall a great experience for a family retreat. A special thanks to the pool bar service staff, they've really lifted their game this time around. The gym is enough for a casual workout.

It was a lovely stay in our ocean view room we paid for - as it was our honeymoon we were treated with a bottle of lovely sparkling & we note , thank you! I do feel it was a bit over priced especially due to late housekeeping the one full day we had there & the pool was rather dirty. I understand these things happen, but again - when you’re paying for it! It’s the little things that make such a difference. However the staff were friendly & the one bedroom oceanview was such a good size. We paid for the buffet breakfast at La Mesa and it was just okay. Great location!
