Left here years ago because it was so bad. My mum is still here and after waiting an hour she still hadn't been seen. I get doctors are busy but if running late a call or text alert would be helpful. She has had so many appointments here for at least 6 months with no diagnoses. So unhelpful

4/ 5

Medical staff get a solid 5 star rating, from my experience they're all really patient and personable, great at putting your mind at ease for things you're paranoid about - if you're like me, everything on your body is scary. They are late sometimes, as people have said, but I feel like that's just part of the job. It's not like they have 15 minute windows, after which you get kicked out. The centre itself desperately needs a call-queuing system, right now you'll spend 15 minutes getting dropped and re-dialling if you want an appointment each morning, rather than being put in a queue. Digital booking would be great. But when you get through, the staff on the other end are great.

It’s totally impossible to get an appointment. No available appointments to book online and I’m not able to ring at 8am for an appointment on the same day as I work full time outside of Brighton. Receptionist insist on knowing what’s wrong with you and give no other option to see a doctor if you can’t ring on the day, even then it’s near impossible, I once called approx 60-70 times (constantly getting the engaged ring tone) one morning to finally get through at about 8:20 to be told they had none available. How this is allowed to happen is beyond me. You’re failing your patients.

I find it very sad to see so many adverse comments about this surgery . I have now been a patient for 6 years at least and have never had a bad experience. Doctors, nurses reception and anyone connected to the health centre have always given first class service and this week they went beyond the call of duty. I'm staying with friends In Whitstable and realised that had inadvertently left one of my important inhalers at home in Brighton, one call to the reception and within 5 hours I was collecting the prescription from an appointed surgery. To me that's great service and prevented me having an anxiety attack which is not good for someone with COPD....Thank you to all concerned and the great service you always have given to me..

I found the receptionist to be abrupt and quite rude. Please train your staff to a reasonable level so they are able to interact with service users to an acceptable degree.

Yesterday my little girl had an appointment with Dr Windsor - Martin. He was extremely good with her, even chatted along the way. His advice was spot on and his manner between patient and Dr was excellent. I have had the pleasure of being part of this practice for many years and cannot fault them. Full marks to reception staff too who are having a really difficult time at the moment. Give this practise chance to get over all the problems of taking on extra patience when at least 2 local surgeries closed, and covid. Well done all.

Absolute worst. I have been waiting for almost a month to get my prescription sorted which should be treated as an emergency since not having the medication severely impacts my day to day function. When I called to refill my meds that I have been taking for years I was flat out told that they didn't look at my registration file that I am on medication and so didn't ask my old gp for my patient records. I was lied to saying it will be sorted the same day. When I called back the next day I was told they will sort it in a few days. After calling in a weeks time again I was lied to that I will get a call back the same day and will have mt medicine. On top of showing no care and clearly not even trying to get my necessary medicine to me the receptionists are refusing to even entertain the idea of giving me an appointment with a gp so I could get a temporary prescription issued until they get my records. This place has no respect for patients, nor any care for their wellbeing and should be investigated for medical negligence

I have been with this surgery for a number of years. In the past it hasn’t been great but I have to say it has upped its game considerably. Whenever I need medication or to speak to a nurse or doctor I can always get an appointment in the next couple of days. The receptionists the last few times I have needed help have been excellent and ever so polite. It does take a while to sometimes get through on the phone but they do get to you in the end!

Mostly very helpful even throughout COVID period which has obviously been a difficult time. This is a large practice & mostly can get a Dr or appointment quickly. Most of the customer facing staff are excellent, polite & go out of their way to be helpful - even texting or calling back when they couldn't help or provide information from initial call.
