A wonderful place to visit, so much history dating back through the centuries, there was no entrance fee just a donation box, leaflets are available explaining the history, the windows are incredible, below the windows are small cards describing each scene.

A delightful surprise for Sassenachs: wonderfully preserved Abbey. Great atmosphere and still open for Church of Scotland worship. Some really special artifacts of real meaning to Scotland and so much care and love from the stewards who were patient with children and full of historic knowledge

Very pretty Abbey, with some amazing gargoyles on one side including the infamous “alien gargoyle” definitely worth checking out if you have a spare 10/15 minutes - or even just 2 just to see the 12 unique gargoyles on Abbey Close side (runs along the river)
