I spent 4 weeks in Oxford and I subscribed in an intensive advanced English course in OHC. The reality was that Intermediate (B2) and Advanced (C1) students mix in the same class. I was not satisfied with the level taught in the classes. The teachers that OHC has during the morning classes at the Advanced level (Jayne) lack teaching skills. This type of class is not valid for anyone who wants to prepare for the subject in earnest. The rhythm of the class was slow and the students could do only one vocabulary activity for an hour and a half of class. The material used by the school is of level C1, however the explanations and the implication of the teacher are not according to the level offered. I told the main responsible of the school from the first day that the level and rhythm of the classes were not in accordance with my objectives but his attention was very deficient. I managed to change to a new school (The Oxford English Centre) a week and a day of my stay in Oxford with a teacher and material of a level commensurate with the service contracted. Furthermore, in spite of having notified my host family to the school that on the first day two students overlapped and therefore could not attend me, I was not notified until 3 days before my flight so obviously there was no ability to react. I do not recommend anyone take classes here. It’s a total waste of time and money.
