Reading some of these reviews I’m genuinely shocked and disappointed that they are so scathing. I can only speak from my experience and having been with the practice for over 35 years including the move to Manor Road I can only praise them. Receptionists usually get a bad press because they do have to prioritise emergency appointments and it’s a thankless task. They have always been courteous to me and I’ve always been accommodated when needed to be. Online appointment booking for non urgent appointments are really useful. The nurses and Doctors are superb. In particular I find Dr Joshi to be a sympathetic and extremely obliging person, nothing is too much trouble. I can’t fault the OSS at all

They don't listen to a thing they are told. Wasted 3 afternoons off work to get a prescription from them, to then find out they given me a 3rd of what I requested.

After being registered here for over 30 years I can't fault them. They have always looked after myself and family with care and compassion. Even had a doc do a unscheduled house call out of the blue, just to check I was ok after several bad asthma attacks. Routine non urgent appointments can take up to 2 or 3 weeks due to people wanting appointmrnts for silly things. Always had a same day appointment for emergencies and find the receptionists helpfull and caring. They have a lot to put up with considering they have to deal with rude people demanding appointments for silly things when you can pop to a phamacy and see someone who is highly trained, who if they think it's needed, will reccomened you see your GP. Don't blame the surgery for lack of GPs in the area in general. Their patient base has grown immensely with no extra surgeries being built, so next time you get a paper cut, stick a bloody plaster on it instead of demanding a docs appointment so real emergencies can be treated.

My wife and I finally gave up with this doctors and so have registered elsewhere. There is a raft of problems with this place. The reception staff seem to take it as a personal failure if you’re given an appointment. On several occasions my wife has tried to get an appointment after describing her symptoms and was met with nothing but “we’re booked for 3 weeks”. Even though her symptoms were serious and subsequently turned out to be a brain tumour that was causing seizures there was little done as they deemed it a “non-emergency”. Subsequently we had to call an ambulance and the paramedics even said that it was bad my wife had not been flagged as an emergency, as her symptoms would definitely flag as potentially a stroke if not a seizure. We did raise these issues several times with the doctors but didn’t get much dealt with, we even had to chase a formal complaint 3 weeks after we made it as they weren’t following their own complaints procedure. My wife has been waiting for a care plan for her seizures since December 2018, and as I write this in late April 2019 she still hasn’t received it. Hopefully our next doctors will be able to sort that.

Extremely rude receptionists! I have been with this surgery for over 6 years and every time I am shocked at how rude they are. When you are poorly the last thing you expect is to deal with rude receptionists.... especially when you are the customer! Will be moving surgeries due to this! Disgusting the way they talk to patients!

I’ve had ongoing issues with both mental and physical health for over a decade now, and since I started seeing Dr Robertson my life has completely transformed. The issues haven’t gone away (although they have improved), but how supported I feel has drastically improved my tolerance for the pain and anxiety. Honestly, Dr Robertson is a phenomenal doctor and a credit to the profession. I have regular check ins to see how I’m getting on with my medicine, we have very thorough appointments each time, he always gives me multiple options for treatment so I feel more in control and I’m able to choose what works best for me, and he has a wonderful manner which I’m sure puts everyone at ease. He is an amazing doctor, and I just can’t recommend him enough.

I had a great experience at this Surgery. I had a call back from the GP within 2 hours and was seen the next morning. Doctor Robertson was especially kind, friendly and caring. The receptionist was also very helpful!!

Similar experience to many here regarding the receptionist saying "it's not an emergency". They have told me this each time I have phoned them requesting an emergency appointment. I have then had to explain to them it is an emergency as otherwise I will end up in hospital due to my condition. This has happened on five occasions in the last two years. Today was no exception. They then asked ''so what do you need for your condition?'', obviously in an attempt to see if I just needed prescription help. I explained "Im not a doctor, I don't know...". I did get the appointment, but the reception are very unprofessional. I'm not sure if this is the case with all of their receptionists, it may just be one that I unfortunately end up speaking with. And I also should mention that the doctors and medical staff are excellent.

Shocked that a receptionist basically said that they are unable to help. I feel totally let down by my doctors surgery and I will be taking it further.
