4/ 5

My rating is based on the staff who are holding the hotel together. As with all hospitality at the moment, they are very short staff. Despite a very late check in, due to their linen delivery being late, then having to queue nearly an hour to check in, due to only one member of staff on the check in desk. We did however have a lovely room and set in beautiful grounds. Dinner service was very slow, but the quality when it arrived was very good. We were on a hen weekend. Erin, an outstanding member of your staff did compensate us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco. We also had a lovely buffet breakfast. I'd like to also give a special mention to Erin, who worked very late in the restaurant on the Saturday night and was up and working ahead of her shift start on the Sunday preparing for a wedding a day. She is an exceptional member of the hotel team. Very positive, friendly and hard working. A credit to the hotel team.

The spa and treatment and staff superb however when we went for lunch waited over an hour for our food which was wrong only to be told by the waitress it was what we had ordered very rude so eventually we got our food which was good. Due to return in December here's hoping they have improved on there service.

On an incredibly busy Friday night with expectant wedding guests everywhere, bar staff kept it together under pressure and deserve a shout-out. There was always a queue but they kept cool heads and dealt with everything brilliantly. Jess & Ross in particular were exemplary.

Nice hotel, room good. The hotel is totally let down by very poor organisation and little or no management. The food, when and if you got any, was fine. Just a quick example we ordered a bottle of wine waited asked a waiter, waited some more asked another waiter spoke to another waiter and asked for the Manager the wine then arrived.

Fantastic venue, very beautiful.setting and foyer. Looked to be idyllic... Let down by the limitation in paying bar Bill's by card (2 bars cash, only one by card) and only one bar tender, leading to an excessive wait to be served, a very apologetic bar tender (Not his fault), without explanation, customers assume poor scheduling by management? Otherwise it looks an amazing. Venue, just poor service
