I loved it, humble, friendly, inviting. The site does have basic amenities, but I am camping and not looking for 5 star. Stayed on site with my two children and we loved it, we like adventures. The new owners appear to be investing hard in a time when it’s challenging for lots of businesses. I will be back very soon. Thank you so much.

Edit: This campsite has changed ownership since my review from 2019. I cannot comment on the new owners as I am yet to visit again. We arrived last minute with no prior booking and was lucky enough to receive a very warm welcome. As it had been pouring down for the last few days Mrs C allowed us to park our campervan at the bottom of the hill on a hard standing area. We met both the owners and found them to be friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The site is in a fantastic location. There is a cafe, chippy and pub right on the door step as well as the beginning of the Pennine Trail. We had a lovely time and would gladly return.

What a wonderful gem of a campsite! We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again! It's a lovely size with great views of the surroundings. It had a peaceful, friendly and relaxed vibe. The staff were on assistance if you needed it, The little shop on site has everything you need (very impressed with the vegan options 😍) The facilities were practical, clean and the showers were perfect temperature - absolutely no faults

From Manchester, so was looking for somewhere local to go camping with my son. Newfold looked perfect. The website was easier to use, it's driving distance (a plus for me, maybe not for you. I don't know where you live) and is walking distance from Edale train station, which has links to Manchester and Sheffield. I ended up having to rearrange my stay and I was fully prepared to lose my money but they were very accommodating to my reason. Always a plus. Got there on the day, check in was very easy and I was told to pitch up where I could find a spot. The views from the first field are amazing and it is right on the door step of the start of the Pennine Way. When I stayed they did excellent pizza and ice cream which is expensive but well worth it. The staff I dealt with were very friendly. Can't say the same for some of the campers as I had to tell one group to be quiet at just gone midnight. This is disappointing as the first thing on the website says "We are a family campsite. No noise after 10pm". Sadly, this wasn't policed but I'm a big boy, I'll tell people to be quiet if they're loud. I've seen complaints about the toilet and shower facilities. Get a grip, it's a campsite not a spa hotel.

Lovely cafe and campsite. Good, clean facilities also. Only feedback would be that the handdriers in the bathrooms were operational all night and could be heard across the entire bottom field so perhaps a cut off time for use would be a good idea.

We absolutely loved camping here and will definitely be returning! Not only is this campsite / farm located in one of the most beautiful areas in the Peak District, but it is totally family friendly and just generally friendly. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and greeted us with smiles. The set ups of the pitches were perfect for creating a friendly and safe environment. The setting encouraged the other campers to be friendly and to socialise with one another. We got to know so many lovely families and everyone was relaxed and friendly. The toilets and showers were clean and there was even a sink where you could refill your water bottles in the pitch close to our tent, which was really convenient. We loved hearing the sounds of sheep in the morning and evenings while relaxing in our tents. We tried the breakfast there and were really impressed. We even rented out a fire pit and logs to keep us warm and cook at night. I can't praise this campsite enough but all I can say is we loved it and will definitely be coming back and would certainly recommend it.

Camped here last July with a group of friends and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Facilities were amazing, there was a café on site which was nice for lazy days when we didn't want to cook breakfast. The general store has loads of variety and lovely staff too! Toilet facilities were superb too with the showers having great pressure as well as always being a perfect temperature. The whole atmosphere of the site was brilliant which was complimented by the beautiful location as well as great staff to greet you upon arrival as well as throughout your stay. Can't complain about anything and would totally recommend :)
