When I first set out to be self employed 2 years ago one of the first things I wanted to make sure I had was an accountancy firm to deal with my tax and VAT Return. My previous experience with the accountants I started out with was that the lowly freelancer who earned a modest wage was as good as forgotten about and was not a priority against the big dogs earning millions of pounds.
