Nice pleasant and friendly place well.situated in the historical town of Salisbury. Nice hotel right in the centre of Salisbury. Close to the cathedral. Comfy beds and generally quiet. The staff were very accommodating and made every effort to make our birthday weekend special. The food was lovely and the hotel charming and perfectly positioned to visit Salisbury and its Christmas market. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Cleanliness, charm, and convenience. The White Hart is an older property, but they’re upgrading the rooms while maintaining the hotel’s character. The location was fantastic, parking convenient, and the staff was very helpful. The room I was initially placed in had a minor issue and I was relocated quickly and cheerfully. Joseph did a great job and was able to accomplish this seamlessly. The new room was renovated and very comfortable. The linens were crisp, pillow selection was perfect, and the shower amazing! The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The only critique is that the toilet is extremely close to the wall and tp holder. I imagine it would difficult to use for a larger person.

As Accor members, for us this Mercure hotel does not match up to the usual high standard around the world that we have experienced. Room comfortable and Evening meal good. Service was not up to scratch as short staffed even though they did their best...one waiter, receptionist, barman general dogs body the same person. Friday night? Brexit loses staff again?

Rooms are nicely furnished and equipped but maintenance is a bit behind the curve. Bathroom basin was not fixed to the wall properly and a table lamp was missing a switch rocker. Bar prices are way too high for the standard and location of the hotel and exceed those in outer London! Add to that they had only 1 (yes 1) bottle of regular tonic water in the place and the alternative slimline version was undrinkable and bitter. In fairness they refunded the cost but it is not what you expect when paying £11:20 for a gin and tonic! Will not be going back there again!

There have been some unsavoury reviews on here but our stay was excellent. It's an old Georgian building so don't expect Premier Inn modernity, embrace the character of the building. Attentative staff, very courteous and any issues sorted immediately. Comfortable and clean rooms.Good breakfast menu cooked to perfection even though it was self-service from a servery and the hotel was busy with a large party. A special thank you to Ellie on reception, who despite her heavy cold, was extremely helpful and understanding when I had a problem with my credit card. We'll be back.

Really enjoyed our short stay. The staff in particular should be praised. They were welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The hotel is old/historic which gives it character. There are many other anonymous modern hotels and some people like that but would much rather stay in a place with character. Yes the floors might creak alittle and the corridors are a bit like a maze depending on where your room is but we loved that and gives the whole place a warm feel. Rooms were comfortable not huge but quite OK and had large TV if people wanted to relax in their room. Clean and efficiently managed. The BIG plus for us was we had a dog friendly room which sometimes is hard to find. Location in Salisbury is excellent. Definitely recommend and will happily stay again. Feel sorry for people who opt for clinical anonymous hotel chains that have no character, they miss out.

Attended a meeting of a local group with about 60 others over lunch. The pate starter was excellent, the roast chicken was lovely and the profiteroles were very nice. If I was being picky : the extra gravy that they brought round would have been better put out on each table. Unfortunately the roast potatoes had been weaponised and were very hard to cut into without scooting off the plate, tasted lovely once you succeeded in breaking them open. A splash more chocolate sauce on the profiteroles would not have gone amiss. All that being said, for the price and for the number of people being served it was excellent value. I will definitely be going again!

For a superior room, it was rather faded. Chairs were quite tatty looking, one had virtually no cushion left inside it. There was a sitting area with another huge tv, totally unnecessary especially as there was no lighting so you couldn't sit on the sofa to relax and read. Breakfast was good and staff were lovely. Just needs a bit if TLC.
