I am unbelievably angry and upset. After having a very mediocre experience with them the first time last year, I came back once again a year later for another trim hoping it would be different. Instead the same stylist ruined my hair. I had long, luscious black locks and asked the stylist what she suggested. She said the edges of my hair were starting to get quite dry and were thinning and I agreed with her suggestion of trimming the edges. By the end of the haircut, my hair was fully ironed for no reason giving a very deceiving perspective of the actual length of my hair. A day later I noticed how ridiculously short my hair had gotten with the edges not being trimmed evenly and the layers completely uneven. I now look absolutely ridiculous and numerous friends and family have expressed how terribly the haircut has been performed. The haircut in itself was extremely shoddy ,lacked all technical skills and was worse than an amateur stylist. I am now only holiday looking absolutely ridiculous knowing that it will take a long long time for my hair to recover from this unprofessional mess and have noone to blame but Medusa. If I post my before and after pictures, you will be absolutely shocked and will want this place to shut down by this disaster. I strongly recommend that nobody goes to this place. I am forced to give it one star but it deserves none.

I had the best hair treatment by Katy. Lovely and experienced senior stylist who also did a wonderful job cutting my hair.. I loved my experience and will keep going back.

For the past few months, I have had awful experiences with hairdressers in Edinburgh. So much so, getting a haircut was becoming a nightmare. A friend of mine recommended me Medusa a couple of days ago and today I gave it a try. I reserved through the online booking system this morning — great idea by the way — and got my hair cut couple of minutes after. Poppy did such a great job I cannot thank her enough. I’m not a native speaker and so talking about haircuts is out my comfort zone. Nonetheless, she managed to understand what I wanted and worked accordingly. I definitely recommend it and look forward to my next visit.
