Avoid! Absolutely disgusting attitude toward paying tenants. No care at all for the property you live in. Only has time when it suits her. Snotty woman with head up her own backside. Looks down her nose at you, even the landlords that used them have pulled out because she simply is loosing tenants. Thank god you’ve been shunned by the landlords finally. Good riddance

McCartney lettings have been a pleasure to deal with and have been great for us. The apartment we moved into was immaculate. During our tenancy Gill was particularly helpful and friendly. Any problems were solved efficiently and moving out was quick and easy. I would advise McCartney lettings if you are searching for a good lettings agency.

Gill at McCartney lettings was fantastic! , she helped us with so much and was always so quick and responsive to any queries we had, i will definatley rent of her again, and would recommend her to anyone! Avoid McCartney Lettings. I have recently had the displeasure of renting a furnished room from this company, which genuinely does not care about its tenants. On numerous occasions the proprietor told me that she does not have time to perform duties she is responsible for, such as replacing broken appliances or providing paperwork when asked for it. I was charged for a carpet clean on exit despite having reported the carpet marked upon entry into the property. When I challenged this I was sent a scribbled out receipt to ‘prove’ it was cleaned upon my entry. I have photo evidence that I provided to the company when I started the tenancy but as common sense and treating people right is not part of McCartney Letting’s ethics I was still billed for this. A number of other issues I reported on check in were never fixed during my tenancy, such as a broken window handle mechanism. I have stayed in numerous house shares over the last few years, and never before have I had to work with a company that really does not care for it’s tenants or seem to understand how to run a business such as this. I would strongly recommend avoiding McCartney Lettings at all cost, in the York area I would recommend Quantum highly as an alternative letting agency that care about it’s tenants and act in a fair manner.
