Great places to go with great views. It's hard to judge such a vast and unique place. What I can say is that you won't regret going, you probably have to go once in your life, however it can get a little boring. Still worth a trip/holiday/experience.

Too big a place to really give a comprehensive low-down, but if you grab a map, close your eyes and point anywhere it's gonna be beautiful. Pick a place and visit. You won't be disappointed.

Truly amazing and beautiful place to visit. Went for a 5 day break and was just not enough time as so much to see. But what did see was just spectacular. The views, the friendly people, the clean air are just some of the highlights. I see why people go back again and again and I certainly will be myself.

This is one of Britain's most picturesque areas with its combination of beautiful hills and lakes. You can go walking, climbing, take a boat trip, visit caves or enjoy the delightful villages with their eateries and gift shops. I don't have a car, but there are good bus services. A wonderful place for all ages.

Having been to many places, I have found nothing to be close to the beauty of the Lake District. There is something for everyone there, from tacky touristy pleasures to the deep quiet of nature at her best and most beautiful, let alone the people who welcome you to their country. You haven't seen England until you have toured the Lake District.

Always lovely to visit. Weather good first week which helped us get out and about. Lots of local eateries to choose from. Not so much to do indoors with little children if weather wet. Promonade market at Grange-over-Sands was lovely. Good variety of craft/gift stalls. Great fun skimming stones on the various lakes.
