Fantastic place to walk my daughters border collie. Very popular place, lots of people with the same idea. The tarmaced track inside the racecourse rails is great for walking on as the grass itself is very wet, not waterlogged, but almost. The only down side is the huge number of dog poo bags all around the track. There are bins where you park, for gods sake use them!

A large open area shared with York Race course, on road parking ,popular with dog walkers and ramblers, watch out in wet weather can become boggy , at a spot near side of Tadcaster Road a information board informs the visitor that this is the place were Richard (Dick) Turpin was hung.

A 5 star venue for a Parkrun. Flat on a tarmac inner perimeter track from which standing puddles have been largely eradicated it is likely to be your best course for a PB. Mind the winds 'tho, they can knock you back. Course start is from the Cherry Lane (dogwalkers) car park.

This is nice big pub with four bars. They do some nice pizzas. It was busy and still trying to do table service, I waited over 40 mins for my third drink. Need let people go to the bar again. Locals didn't seem to have a problem though
