This is a very clean gym with friendly staff members. It has lots of activities and a very nice big pool. The only thing is missing is a sauna, but that's not the end of the world. I used it for over an year and it really improved my overall body and mental health. Totally recommend it if you live in Southmead/Gloucester area

It's great that it's open again, and even though you can only get 50 minutes in the gym at any one time, I'm happy to be back! The only disappointment is that a fair few of my personal favourite pieces of equipment is not available!

In short: swim sessions are too short across the board, and the booking system is pants. I used to love this place and spent so much time here swimming and using the gym. They introduced a new booking system for swimming during covid and haven't removed it. Every fast swim slot is booked up as soon as it becomes available a week in advance, but then the lane is rarely actually busy when you turn up. Nobody there will do anything about it when I bring it up. It's made planning a training schedule around work super difficult. Plus, you can't swim for more than 50mins. The gym is probably still fine, but I tend to combine it with swimming and don't attend if I can't swim. It is mostly their response to the lame system they're using that leaves me disappointed.

Constantly spamming me with SMS and calls, I finally got the calls to stop but to stop the SMS there is a charge associated when replying STOP to their 83833. Pretty crazy that I have to pay to stop the bombardment of contact.

It's seems to be managing in these difficult times. They are confusing me a bit by moving the equipment locations and I find myself wasting the restricted 50 minute session times looking for stuff. But overall it's a good place full of normal people with no attitude issues so you will feel at ease. Must mention the personal trainers as they are very approachable and very professional should you need help and encouragement as I do.

It's all been working very well at the baths since returning after lockdown. Especially when the showers came back into use. The only grumble I have is about the men's urinals - which seems to be a recurring problem.
