Holiday Inn York york

Loved it there. Staff a great...any needs you may have they will help no matter what time of day or night. Highly recommend

Good price, staff were bend over backwards helpful and kind. Breakfast quality was excellent although variety was limited. Had a good night's sleep and overall a great stay.

Lovely place to stay near York. Huge car park. Helpful staff at the reception. Handy to get a bus into the centre of York

We got this hotel cheap on a last minute booking! We loved the fact it was dog friendly and we could enjoy a night in York with the puppy! The room was massive with a sofa and TV which meant we could retire there with a few drinks after a long day around York. The room could have been a bit cleaner, but you cant expect too much from a dog friendly hotel. It is a bit far out of the centre but the taxis are cheap and dog friendly if you dont want to walk back after a few drinks!

Excellent stay.room clean and comfortable. Dog made welcome.breakfast nice. No charge for carpark also makes stay more pleasing.thank you.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn in York started when we were greeted by Curtis Watson who was front of reception at the hotel. He is 90% of the reason for this 5 star review. Upon entering the building, he was courteous, respectful, full of enthusiasm and literally nothing was too much for him. He sorted our room key within 5 minutes (including fun, entertaining conversation) and after we dropped our bags off, booked us a taxi in again, a minute flat and wrote down (by memory) 4 other companies for when we were ready to return. He was also there to collect our room key the next day. The room and facilities were clean, well maintained and above expectations including a bed that felt new (the mattress, sheets and pillows were very comfortable) as well as air conditioning and radiators that actually worked. All in all, the room was great but the main reason for the review was the incredible employee you have for the Holiday Inn on Tadcaster Road. A credit to your business.

Nice and clean hotel but the front didn't looked like the picture when I booked the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because it's a good 40min walk from town.

We hired a meeting room for our Christmas team meeting. Room was fine, staff were great. Lunch was sandwiches and chips. They were short staffed but the lady who looked after us and kept the tea topped up, etc was brilliant. Some colleagues stayed over and said they would stay again.

Been here before staff lovely .could have done with more information when checking in about restaurant and breakfast .we had no meals in evening only I pub over road serves meal .we was there celebrating my husband birthday with packet biscuits .we had brought .There was a function on last night we was not made aware of .so we was told we could order something on app from are room .unfortunately we not app savvy being OAP. Phoned down to restaurant was greeted with just do it on the app.and we let you know we got it .so we ended up with nothing .not the service we usually get .But the breakfast was gorgeous and staff so lovely .The front desk assistant so different much better .just a few people let you down hence 3 stars

A really nice hotel with fantastic staff. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. My child was ill on our visit after suffering food poisoning not related to the hotel. The staff were amazing, empathetic and accommodating. Very conveniently located for the race course with good public transport links to York Centre. I would recommend this hotel.
