A special place this for our family as we have my mum's memorial bench situated at the top of the garden looking over the gardens and across to Lake Windermere. Beautifully kept gardens throughout the year. It's free to walk around with plenty of parking

Holehird Gardens. Every season, month, week is different. The colours are amazing. The volunteers who work so hard to make sure it looks great. Walking round and breathing in the atmosphere calms the mind and the spirit. Thank you to all of you.

Beautiful colour and design here, I took plenty of photos! The Acers, Dahlias, and views were my high points. The volunteers appear to be doing a grand job. Well worth the visit and traffic on the A591!!

We loved these gardens. The specimens were stunning and the views were stunning as well! A real gem, tucked away off the Kirlstone Pass. We will visit again, and will be recommending to friends. Our children loved the variety in nature they could see and found it as fascinating as we did.

Beautiful place. For couples, we couldn’t recommenced visiting here enough. It’s amazing it’s free to visit where gardens far behind in quality would charge for entry. A must visit if staying in the area

I try and visit Holehird each time I go to the Lake District. I love the planting scheme, colours and structure of the garden. It feels well loved, by many!

A proper hidden gem within the Lake District. Stunning views of Windermere and incredible gardens that are so beautifully looked after. I grew up just around the corner and was so lucky to be able to play here frequently as a child.
