Pleasant comfortable hotel , reasonably priced with good breakfast options. Has a fitness room which can be useful. Wheelchair accessible. Staff friendly and helpful. Check out is 12 noon as usual but there is a very useful luggage storage facility available. The hotel is minutes away form several points of interest. Recommended

Paid £90 for a nights stay at the hilton York. For the price the room was really basic and small, the room I had didn't seem to have any soundproofing at all as I could hear all the staff and the pipes banging from the heating all night. It's in a great location but it needs some TLC like all Hilton's seem to need.

Very torn. Heard Hilton was a good hotel to stay in so we booked. Even tho we had a basic room as we weren't going to be in it much due to Christmas shopping and spending time together we were very disappointed. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, to the point both me and my partner were up around 3am. Where we were placed within the hotel was around the side of the building, Friday night wasnt too bad, however Saturday night was dreadful. We were unable to get to sleep thanks to the gin bar below, and people walking through the street. We checked in around 3PM, and whilst walking through the hall to our room there were around 10+ trays, ice buckets, empty alcohol bottles in them which remained there until the next morning. Also found that the bedding was ripped. For the price definitely expected better. The only positive we can say is that the rooms and hotel were very clean.
