1. To get an appointment for real, people stand in line in front of the surgery from 7.30 am or earlier, in adverse Scottish weather. They say you don’t need it, but you can never get connected via phone at 8 am, the line is always busy. All appointment slots get booked within 8.10am. They don’t even give advance bookings. 2. Receptionists are not helpful at all, and sometimes very rude. Personally I felt they judged us by our skin colour and I also submitted a written complaint to the surgery. 3. Changing GP in this area is very lengthy procedure and as I always am sick and suffer from severe health conditions I did not proceed with the procedure of changing. 4. I found two doctors specially very nice and helpful. The others were .. Well, no comment. I only go to those two doctors as they are nice and compassionate to my problems. 5. If possible, do not register in this GP surgery. This is the worst.

Today I went the GP practice for an appointment for my wife. My queue position was 2 and I begged an appointment at the service desk. The lady at the service desk wanted to know that the case is an emergency or not. I said her that my wife is healing from pneumonia and had other problem. She said me the case is not emergency and can’t give any appointment. I requested her that I am here to take the appointment as my wife is feeling unwell. She became angry and offered an appointment at 2:30pm. I didn’t took the appointment but I observed and found the persons who were on the queue behind me they got the appointment at 9am and after that. Again I went back after finishing of the queue and said her it’s hurt me as you wanted to give me appointment at 2:30pm and gave other at 9am 9:15 am .... she again become rude and said me that those people has chest complications that’s why she gave them in the morning. I said her when I was talking with you the people who got at 9am or 9:15 am they were to talk with you, how did you know their issue were more serious and emergency? And isn’t it emergency when a husband come to take appointment for wife in such a stormy rainy morning. She said me she wanted to protect her doctor. But I was not clear how she protects her doctor to give someone appointment at 2:30pm. A patient is challenging in morning but not at 2:30pm. I felt she wanted to give me a punishment to give the appointment at 2:30pm. I don’t know is there any rule that the desk service provider will decide who and when someone gets the appointment! Last three years I knew that they will offer the earliest available visiting slot and they can’t chose the slots according to their own choice. I knew Only patient can request for his/her suitable time and if the time slot isn’t available the possible available slot will be offered by the service desk person. If the service provider can decide the appointment slot for the patient it’s clearly a discrimination. Today I was early in the queue and offered at 2:30pm and who was later on the queue was offered 9am and 9:15 am 9:30 am. It’s an act of ignorance and negligence. When I went back again and requested the form of complain they gave me the form. As I asked about the name of the service providing lady I could clearly wrote the detail. But when I returned the form to another lady she said me that I did shout out..... I was astonished to know that! Even first moment that First Lady I met she said me to change the GP and so on but I didn’t answered anything just I was praying for an appointment that’s it. I said the second lady that you can’t tell that I shouted and if you see that on cctv it would be seen clearly. When I came out of the GP I felt too alone and empty and I just cried out. Someone can decide our fate, can give punishment though you are early in the queues and again can say you shout! If you try to hide your injustice act by giving allocation one day GOD will speak!

Reception staff are brilliant shame about the doctors in the practice, not even 6 months in the practise and my mental health is even worse than before joining the surgery and out of 8 doctors I've seen only two of them actually are permanent and they where the worst! Cannot wait to leave before this surgery tips me over the edge.

Hard to imagine, but it's just got even worse! From this week, potentially £8 per appointment... I've been registered here over 10 years, and it has always been terrible to make an appointment by phone (the only permitted way now of course). As others have said: Must call from 8am, repeatedly until you get through. In my experience I've nearly always had to call 20-40 times. This week they changed the phone system so that it'll always connect rather than being engaged, before the auto-switchboard says no-one is available and hangs up. So now, as well as being frustrated trying to get through I'm paying my phone connection charge and a minute's call for the privilege. For some people that could be 40*(10p+10p) = £8 per appointment. Note: I've found the nurses and current doctors to be excellent. No issues with them. They're being let down by the practice.

This practice gets less helpful by the day. It takes a minimum of three days to get a repeat prescription. More often than not they lose them and imply they weren’t put in. The receptionist are plain rude and will do absolutely nothing to resolve any issues. If you have any opportunity to avoid this place, do so. It will raise your blood pressure simple ringing them. DREADFUL.

I knew it was gonna be bad based on the reviews, but all practices were closed for registration so got randomly assigned to that one anyone. Don't think it's really usable at all, gotta start dialing their number at 8am to a repeated wall of Busy. Another day I managed to get through on the first try and at least the process and competency of doctors after that is good. EDIT: Wow it's got even worse. Now it's 50-50 that you either get a Busy line at the intended time, or you when you select your option you get a "Sorry, your call cannot be completed at present, please try again later". Completely unusable.
