Great tour, informative and fun. Josh the guide was very knowledgeable and I was able to ask many questions on the tour. He also helpfully gave some local information as well. Looking forward to going on their alternative walking tour soon!

This was my 3rd trip to Manchester. From the very first visit, Manchester has been a pleasant surprise. Simply put, I didn’t expect such a vibrant, pedestrian friendly city. However, as I’ve been traveling on business, I never had the chance to take a tour of the city. But I found myself with a free Sunday so I took a chance on this tour and am extremely pleased that I did. In a word, our guide Lisa was fantastic. She covered 4 major historical eras of the city and wound a tale that actually did explain the dynamism that I’d certainly observed, albeit without background. Part story-teller, part actress, Lisa recited poems, and parts of speeches from prominent suffragettes in the context (and sometimes the locations) in which these words were spoken. She was available to address questions even if we were a big group. It is clear that she loves her city, and this was a big plus. She spoke with passion, taking care to separate fact from myth and even adding why certain myths held such appeal. I’m not Mancunian, so I can’t claim this city as mine, but I gained an affinity that was there, but now given articulation. I would strongly suggest this tour in general, and Lisa in particular!

Had a great few hours walking the mancunian streets, josh was very informative, despite being kept on his toes by the ongoing covid situation. Well worth the time and effort.

I'm never one to write reviews but I couldn't not on this occasion. Fantastically informative tour (even for someone who lives in Manchester and has a reasonable awareness of its history), covering sights and stories of the city from all its phases, from early history to present day. One comes away from the tour with a real sense of Manchester's significance in the UK and in the world with its contributions to industry, democracy, music, sport, gay rights and much more. Incredibly friendly guide who gave out handouts at the end with lots of info of great restaurants, more cultural sights, local artists, films about Manchester, etc. Cannot recommend enough! If you're in Manchester and want to get to the heart of what the city is all about then do this tour!

Absolute must if visiting Manchester. This tour really brings the city to life when you understand some of its past and what makes its community. Megan brought to life to all of the stories and kept the tour fun and engaging throughout. Thank you!

We had the tour today with Megan, and when she first said it was going to last 3h we immediately thought 'pfff, long'. For our own surprise, the tour was very entertaining, insightful, fun, kept as tuned all the time and we had one of our best free walking tour experiences (we have done 20+ tours around UK and Europe). Recommend it 100% and we specially recommend taking it with Megan, we definitely loved it!

This was a brilliant waking tour. Josh is funny, informative and genuine. The tour gives you a good understanding of Manchester's history with an insightful, subtle and considered comment on what makes manchester unique. We hope that Josh continues to enjoy success with this tour, he certainly deserves it. Our only regret is that we forgot to ask which Alan Alan the Dog is named after...? Anna & Jack
