4/ 5

Quite a big library with a good selection of books, the staff are friendly and helpul. Reservations I order online are always there to collect. The only issue is people sleeping in chairs which are dotted around the library, which should be reserved for people wanting to read, if people want to sleep they should go home to bed. Other than this I would recommend.

Very loud , casually chatting staff like they would be in a cafe, local market, attending some party

1/ 5

Very loud , casually chatting staff like they would be in a cafe, local market, attending some party or other social gathering rather than working in the library. Do they not know what is library for? People do study here, want some silence without constant chatter. If you need to talk to fellow library members , please do whisper!

This library is poorly stocked, with lots of empty shelf space. The old one used to be so much better. The language section is not much different to the Hanworth branch's pathetic offering, dominated by dictionaries rather than courses, and even then only in German, Italian and French! Where are all the books that are listed on the website that appears when signing up online?? Why is that website not locatable at a later date? This is poor value for the Council Tax we are forced to pay, and the incompetent upper management of the library service desperately needs to be replaced but, knowing how Hounslow Council cliques work, I won't hold my breath.
