I was there for one night and it was a nice stay. When I came in my room a doorhandle was broken. The maintenance was very quick to fix it. The room was clean and the location was awesome. Very close to a lot of pubs. I can recommend the Hostel.

The idea of a hostel did not appeal to at all if I am honest, I'm almost in my 40's and thought that I had outgrown that sort of thing. It was convenient, right in Matthew Street and all the fun of Liverpool was on the door step. Litterally! Perfect for a stag do.

Decent enough for a hostel. Friendly staff. Great food. Main issues were the lifts were out of order and the noise from the club's was something else! If you are staying here with a view to clubbing, recommended. If you are a light sleeper then no, don't stay here.

Pros: Has friendly staff Shower works well, is nice and modern Right in the centre of Liverpool Breakfast / reception area is fantastic - feels like a completely different place to the rest of the hostel Good price Cons: Definitely basic - literally just a bed, shower and lockers Not the cleanest - I found biscuits and other food in my bed from previous guests. I also found random stains on the walls (one looked like blood?) Beds uncomfortable - bring an extra pillow with you This isn't the fault of the hostel, but due to its location in Mathew street it's very noisy until about 4am in the morning. Overall, was alright. I'd probably stay here again for the price. The breakfast and reception area is great as well.

Far too noisy due to single glazing and being surrounded by bars. Didn't feel safe as a man tried entering our room in the early hours and another had tried taking our keys on check in (he had apparently stolen from them earlier). Did not sleep well (woke multiple times). Shower had hairs in and whole place felt grimy. Expensive for what it is.
