Enjoyable to explore. Saw the new panda enclosure, but not the lazy pandas who were inside sleeping as usual. More of the animals should have more explicit "job descriptions" requiring them to put on more of a show for visitors! If we could see them at all most were sleeping!

Edinburgh Zoo is absolutely brillant the kids and the parents both loved it. Now it's very hilly so b warned wear comfortable shoes/trainers we just took r time and wondered up at r leisure. My daughter absolutely loved going into the birds to feed them nectar. And I loved walking around the monkeys. And as a family we loved the penguin walk that happens at 2.15

It's a great day out and well worth the membership, makes a lot more sense than individual day tickets. There's too much to see in one visit. Take packed lunches, walking shoes / sensible footwear and be prepared to walk! They're always improving the zoo so some areas will be off limits or under repair. We love it!

The Edinburgh zoo is a pearl of the city. It's the perfect way to spend a lovely day learning and enjoy the nature. The zoo is big enough and they have a lot of different animals. They do a lot of talks at different hours so you can learn more about the animals and how the zoo is helping saving the endangered ones. The ticket is not too expensive and I think it's worth it, if you like animals and nature you don't want to miss it. It's great that people do this, well done!

Came to see the winter lights at Edinburgh Zoo and found the Caravan of Courage on our way round! The Oreo melts are THE most amazing treats we have tasted in a long time (and we ate a few!). We also tried the cheese Nachos with coconut mozzarella. The nachos were crispy and the cheese was creamy, delicious and made one of the best cheese nachos I’ve tried! The fries are good too! The staff were very friendly and it was lovely to meet them. We went back to the zoo through the day and were delighted to see it was open again. It’s great to see the zoo offering businesses the opportunity to serve a variety of food. We hope to come back again and have more! The zoo is as always an amazing day out and we were very impressed with the winter lights. All our children from age 2 to 12 enjoyed the experience.

We came for my sons 2nd birthday and he absolutely loved seeing all of the different animals. There are a lot of steep hills making it hard for wheelchair users and disabled but the zoo have staff drivers to help transport. I would avoid the indoor penguin cafe at all costs. They refused my order for my sons lunch as I only had cash and not my card. The staff member behind the counter asked his manager as I'd explained I didn't have my card on me and they still said plainly no. This leaving us to have 2 choices of either walk all the way back to the car for the card and then wait in a long queue to get back into the zoo. However 9 out of 10 other places we stopped for snacks and refreshments asked if we would like to pay cash or card... but despite that one issue of the whole day we all had an absolutely amazing time!! We got to see the pandas!! My son was ecstatic when the baby monkey climbed the fence to say hello!! We've captured amazing memories that I'll never forget. The penguin's were adorable. The staff were very helpful, the weather stayed gorgeous all day!! We got some keepsakes from the gift shop and toys, I can't wait to bring him again!! Maybe this time not with a pushchair 🤣🤣

The animals were amazing and the places to stand and watch them was easily accessible. Social distance adhered to and clearly marked. Staff in all areas of the zoo were extremely helpful and friendly even though it was busy. Just be ready for a Climb throughout the park, however completely worth it for some of the views that you see. 10/10 thank you Edinburgh zoo. Best birthday i could have had!

Fantastic zoo. My youngest son sponsored a panda and he got to see him, see his name on the plaque and take photos of the panda chilling out and in its enclosure eating bamboo. We all as a family had a fantastic time and were shattered by the end, which helped with bed time!! Fantastic experience and the lady at the door of the gift shop was friendly and asked whether we had enjoyed our stay. Great variety of animals to see and social distancing rules were in place to help everyone if they adhered to it.

3/ 5

We went there and there were no pandas, and panda cam that’s supposed to monitor the pandas inside was not showing a panda either, not sure where else the pandas were.... a sign that pandas are away (if that was the case) would’ve been very helpful! It's a great zoo from all aspects but arranging the viewing times for most important ones. They can be a bit better and transparent on viewing times of tigers, lions and especially pandas. We have not seen any lions either, it was apparently a breeding season however we were not told when booking the ticket online. I think the interest to this zoo is getting lower due to these same points over and over again based on the reviews.
