Lovely presentation of local crafts.
The Devon Guild of Craftsmen at Bovey Tracy is an amazing makers gallery, well worth a visit
Very inspiring. Loved the puppets - especially the hoopoe!
where to find some of the best pieces of Devon craftspeople in one place - and a great source to find other names for visiting etc
Lovely, quality local crafted art and products, showcased in a great environment. However, it seems that I've become used to the prices of art from Africa, India and China, as I did find some of the prices simply eye watering, otherwise I'd mark this as a five star venue.
The arts and crafts on display are to a very high standard. They are beautifully displayed. I was impressed with the whole look.
Lovely place, very relaxing, parking in car park is not cheap and not many disabled parking spaces i had to park in a normal space very difficult to get wheelchair out and lots of hills to get to the any shops and thin pavements so had to go in the road and drivers was not happy.
We only looked around quickly. Late afternoon and they were getting ready to close. Very nice lovely items in there shop so a few pieces of furniture. Paintings pottery etc. Cafe closed too late for us. Worth a visit.
Popped in on route from Burgh Island to see what the local crafts people can produce. The shop and gallery are well lit and clean. A large variety of crafts are displayed and its nice that you can actually handle the items in the shop. I personally think you would enjoy it as an "Art Gallery", but for me (as a wood Turner and woodworker), I just can't fathom where the prices come from for the wooden crafts ??? These were far far out of my price range by a country mile. The staff were very pleasant and the courtyard is a nice area to chill out for a while. 😁.
