Had a lovely stay here in a twin bedroom on the first floor. Good facilities in the room, there was a kettle, fridge and safe. Would have liked a hairdryer but there wasn’t one in our room. Spa was nice too, only the sauna was open during our visit. Pool was a good size but very busy in the afternoon. We also had lunch in the pub section, and it was delicious. Good coffee, steak and pie.

I stay here frequently for work and have no real complaints. The rooms are quite large and facilities more than adequate. Breakfast can be a bit hit or miss, during my recent stay their coffee machine was out of order so it was either stewed coffee from an urn or make your own instant. Somewhere of this size should have more than one machine surely?

Table not set for us at breakfast, we had to move tables ourselves and even though the staff were there they didn't rush over to help. Breakfast was cold. The coffee machine didn't have milk in it. There is dust everywhere. Dirty cups left about. The Jacuzzi wasn't working. Hand towel was handed out on entry to swimming pool instead of bath towel. A baby of 10 weeks wasn't allowed in the pool with the rest of the group. The evening meal table wasn't set. Everyone meals came at different times so we didnt eat together. Service was slow. Afternoon tea was booked for 1400 we had to remind them. The table wasn't set. Then was set with missing cutlery. It was really substandard and then an hour late. Very poor sandwiches, no continuity of cake stand between the 10 in the group. Missing clotted cream. The receptionists were very good, polite and professional. Ben the manager said to us that he was too busy to hear our complaint and kept looking at his watch.

A nice hotel. Very comfy bed and a powerful shower. The swimming pool/sauna/steam room were nice, and the treatments we had were good too. Some negative aspects - some of the staff aren’t very friendly. It costs nothing to smile, and some staff looked like they would rather not be there. Having said that, some of the staff were absolutely delightful - bright and positive.

Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Especially the gentleman on reception of the spa, went out of his way to accommodate us. Lady on reception also very helpful. Menu for dinner could have had a larger selection, the menu online isn't the one we received upon visiting, also noticed the menu on the TV in room was different and prices varied to the current menu which was a little confusing but no big deal. Would stay again!
