Portions are large and cooked perfectly, the desert selection is good and again large portions. I'd recommend this place more for adults as there's not much to occupie the kids. It's be refurbished really nicely with a great homely feel. Dog friendly, and warm. Only thing I could fault is the temperature. when we visited I was in a t shirt and jeans. I felt too warm. So maybe turn the heat down s bit. But all in all a great place to visit for some good quality food and a relaxing atmosphere.

First visit having recently moved to the area. Lovely warm welcome and great service. Lovely environment and very friendly staff. Soda bread starter was delicious and steak and seafood curry couldn't be faulted. No space for pudding unfortunately! Would definitely return, lovely restaurant.

Called in on the way through. Liver looked great but the steak and ale pie was way too runny and salty. Garlic bread was good. Loads of parking. Nicely down out country pub. Staff very polite. No signal so if you rely on your phone for business not a good stop off place. Won't stop again as over priced for that level of quality you get

Nice site - had a pleasant stay - all pitches have electric and are nicely shielded from one another with hedges - only major down side was no O2 signal and no available WiFi unless you frequent the bar. The bar was lovely - nice and warm and welcoming but a tad pricey with a double vodka and Diet Coke and a pint of lager coming in at 12.50!! The facilities were clean and warm - please bear in mind we were there when the site was only a third full so no issues with the size of the facilities But if you were here in the summer when it would be busy I think there may be an issue with the number of toilets on site All the above said and done we had a lovely break with no issues and despite the weather we enjoyed it

We stayed for seven nights on the campsite in a motorhome. The campsite is well positioned for exploring Devon and Cornwall. The facilities whilst basic were adequate for the amount of pitches and were clean and well maintained. The grounds were immaculate and the pitches were a good size and lined with hedges making them relatively private. The pub was a bonus being on site and we took advantage of a couple of cooked breakfasts and evening meals. The food was decent pub food which was well cooked and presented. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. We will definitely go again and use it as a base to visit the places w3 didn’t get to see this time.

Yes, if you need to eat when in this area, this is the place - food is exceptional and all dishes are available gluten free - not something they shout about. I got the burger and it's the best I've had in a long long time, gf cod for my partner which was also fantastic - don't pass this place by!!!

Nice pub and site with separated standings. Showers and toilets clean. BUT, 22 hard standings and a field for tents and only one toilet and 2 Showers???? The smell around the shower block was awful! You didn't need a torch to find it. Despite what is says in their advertising there is no WiFi on site or in the pub and no phone signal. At least there wasn't when we were there.
