If ordering your prescription through the chemist I would suggest allowing two weeks. The system in place at the surgery seems to struggle with a 7 day turn around!!

So I walk into the pharmacy with my career to get my medication which was ordered 2 weeks in advcance. Got there and instead of the normal 90min mate of them putting together 2 items they gave me my prescription. I could tell it wasn’t right so opened it and surprise surprise it’s same tablets they’ve been been trying to give me for 3 weeks despite the fact of them not being mine and me being highly arlergic to them. I’m then told it’s not there problem and I to talk to receptionist who tells me that I’ll have to call after 2 which I had no credit so to come back and wait after 3pm. I’m unable to do either as my career will not be able to get me there. Rude and aggressive staff

Always efficient and easy to book appointments. I now live in Seaford and am resorting walk-in GPs as the service in local practices is terrible. I miss Charter Medical.

The telephone service is great. The experience speaking with doctors has been poor. For three months I suffered from a gut bacteria that causes ulcers in my stomach. I phoned a few times to share what my symptoms are, each time spoken to a different doctor and I was never taken seriously. “Phone again if the symptoms get worse, take gaviscon, I’m not sure what it is” Then finally a few weeks ago when I was feeling very unwell, I phoned again. The advanced nurse practitioner Kerrie answered. That lovely woman instantly knew what the problem was and asked for a sample to be sent to the lab. She was right. It was the gut bacteria. So anyway, long story short. Our GPs should take us seriously and genuinely care for us when we call about symptoms that are causing us deep anxiety and pain rather than dismiss us. I am definitely transferring to a different surgery as I think it would be beneficial to my health.

5/ 5

I have only been a patient at Charter Medical Centre since December 2020 and already feel more listened to and validated as a patient than at any other practice I have been registered at. I think a lot of people can identify with the issue of feeling like the doctors are not really listening to what you are describing or perhaps you feel like not enough is done to get to the bottoms of your symptoms. Maybe you desperately feel as though you need to see an expert, but your doctor is simply not referring you to anyone, after your blood tests all come back fine. It's definitely something I have experienced with previous clinics, and that's not to say that those doctors weren't good at what they do, but I have experienced a noticeable difference in the way I was treated at Charter Medical Centre in comparison to other surgeries. For the first time the doctors and nurses actively let me speak and finish my sentences and listened to what I was saying without making me feel crazy. Thank you very much everyone at Charter :) Super happy I found a surgery I can trust!

5/ 5

I joined Charter on the recommendation of a friend, after initially trying to register at Trinity Medical centre. (I had filled out the form and handed it in at Trinity reception, also emailed them and called repeatedly over weeks, waited on hold for hours and hours and never managed to get through. Appalling service, and very stressful if you are feeling unwell or desperately need a repeat prescription after moving to the area, and are unable to get one. Zero stars for Trinity Medical Centre! :( Charter have been the complete opposite! They have an extremely helpful automatic call back system so you don’t have to wait on hold. I have been SO impressed with their staff and the efficiency of the surgery. All the doctors, nurses and receptionists I’ve spoken to in person and over the phone - each have been faultless, so professional and kind and helpful. All the services I’ve used have been quick and efficient and easy to use. I would like to feedback my compliments to each and every member of staff who I’ve dealt with. Thank you for running such a great practice.
