Dawn and Sue office/admin were very helpful, polite and saved me a lot of time. My doctor (very sorry Doc. I forgot your name) was very happy and straight to the point. Old school style surgery and better than my last surgery (no bad feelings).

On 14.02.2017 I noticed my sons eye was producing more discharge than the day before. I called my doctors. Brookfield’s Heath centre at around 16.20 to ask for some advice. Ronnie had had conjunctivitis before, so I was more than sure it was it again and I wasn’t sure if I could but anything over the counter. I was greeted by a lovely receptionist on the other end of the phone called dawn. I explained the situation and she spoke to the nurse practitioner who was happy to fit us in at 5.20. On arrival was greeted by dawn again who booked us in and we went through to waiting room. On the dot Ronnie was called through for his appointment. I knew I recognised the nurse, but I’ve been at that surgery my whole life So that isn’t uncommon. She took us through to the room, and was instantly connecting with Ronnie. She saw right away his eye and said it was conjunctivitis. I also mentioned we had had many doctors visits with Ronnie with viral infections. So she took him temperature. Listened to his chest. And also diagnosed a chest injection. And examining his face, the start of impetigo. I felt so reassured, that they had got me in so quickly, and within 10 minutes she had diagnosed and prescribed to get my son back in the mend. The interaction she had with my son was phenomenal! I felt comfortable and as ease. So I decided to explain to this nurse. ( Alice ) that I’m over protective with Ronnie and his health. She said I hope you don’t mind me interpreting. But your Harley’s mum aren’t you. I got a lump in my throat. I knew I knew this lady. I saw this nurse on 02.11.2016. At camdoc. When I had taken my eldest son Harley in with a random pin prick rash. She was amazing then. She knew he wasn’t right. She didn’t worry me in the slightest. She got Harley rushed to hospital. Where he was diagnosed with leukaemia. Unfortunately he didn’t take well to treatment and passed away 4 weeks later. But she knew this. She had followed him, she told me that Harley’s face is one she will always remember. His touched me. As a mother to have someone remember you and remember your son. My experience has always been amazing at Brookfield’s. The reception staff are always so happy to help with call backs and appointments. Always so chatty and happy when I attend appointments and always ask how I am. Brookfield’s is my doctors survey, and one I hope I will never have to leave.

The staff at both surgeries are incredibly rude over the phone, i've woken up just before 8 to ring them up as they say at 8am to book an appointment for my mum, been waiting 20 minutes on the phone just for them to answer and hear that apparently they're ( fully booked) the lady who answered gave me the most disgusting attitude you can ever get, telling me to ring back tomorrow and when i said i will she raised her voice and said "okay fine" the medical centre needs to start hiring some polite people and on the interview ask if they know what respect means!!! They are (fully booked) but when you go in wait for you appointment in the waiting room, you end up waiting up to an hour and a half just for the doctor to speak to you 5 mins and give you PARACETAMOL or look up on GOOGLE the symptoms you have! RIDICULOUS!!!

Very impolite and childish behavior from the receptionist during a phone call on the late afternoon hours. Would have been appreciated to be asked to call again in another more suitable timing if that was the problem instead of replying with those manners!

I have always been able to get an appointment by phoning by 8 am no problem . Also during Covid the phone consultations with nurse practitioner and paramedic have been brilliant with fast and efficient access to prescriptions. The receptionists apparently have been treated very badly over the phone (verbal abuse) especially during Covid .They are getting hundreds of calls an hour to deal with under huge pressure.

Have tried to arrange a gp appointment as I need this for referral to the relevant addenbrookes clinic however I have had my call disconnected at the 3:45 each time with no communication to any actual receptionist. This has gone beyond a week of attempts.

Been waiting for them to answer their phone for over 55 minutes. They took me off the text confirmation service without telling me, which led to me missing my last appointment. And getting a right ear full from the receptionist over it. Despite me saying that I need those texts as due to my mental health if I don't get them I will likely miss the appointment due to losing the paper I write it down on whilst having an episode. It's now been over 60 minutes, I've been waiting. This is unacceptable!
