Came to the emergency room a few weeks back with bad uveitis. Was called back a week later after using drops and they told me I had inflammation in the front and middle of my right eye and there were signs in the left too. Had dyes put into my arm which resulted in an allergic reaction, this wasn't spotted by the two doctors who were taking the photos and injecting the dye as they were too busy chatting away but as soon as I saw Dr guly she noticed as soon as she saw me. Was sent away on steroids which have helped massively. Went back today for an appointment which was at 9 30 and one straight after for 9 45. Didn't get seen until 10 20 then second appointment at 11 20. Was such a long wait. Staff very pleasant though and hospital is clean. Lack of parking is a pain... Can only park for an hour outside of the hospital but can gaurentee that every trip will be 2 hours plus.

My elderly father had a cataract operation here. The staff were friendly, cheerful and kind. The doctor was quick and skilled - the whole thing including waiting took an hour from start to finish. They called us in the morning to see if we could come earlier and the procedure was done by the time my father was originally due in! The op was done on a Sunday, I appreciate the staff coming in at the weekend to clear the backlog. The nurses explained the aftercare clearly to my mother, and my father has made a good recovery and his eyesight is much improved. Thank you for an excellent service.

Start to finish I was in A&E on a Tuesday afternoon for 2 hours 30 minutes. I saw a few nurses and two doctors and everyone was lovely and made the whole experience really easy and reassuring. Problem was found and drops given straight away. Something to be aware of: you might not be able to drive home because of the eye drops so make alternative arrangements.
