Absurd that the parking payment machines don't take cards, especially when all the hardware is fitted (even for contactless). Also they are often broken and the charges are hiked up by a massive percentage every year. Shoreham Airport used to be welcoming but now it's not, they have even fined people £60 for sticking their ticket on a side window. Madness - they need to be modern and friendly and take any form of payment.

Gorgeous Art Deco Building. Beware the parking meters! You must pay and the machines currently (despite being fitted for card payment) only accept cash. The ‘visitor’ centre is run by incredibly kind volunteers but they don’t stock change for the parking meters. Go prepared!

Went to visit Hummingbird Cafe, but no space. Visited the caravan cafe instead. Really pleasant staff, seating overlooking the runway and plane parking. Great coffee, rocky road cake is delicious. Parking ticket machine took money but didn't issue ticket.

I work in social care and took a client out here for her first trip out since the beginning of the pandemic to just have a cup of tea and get her to feel confident again to go out. We parked and displayed her blue badge but i had to rush her in to the building as she had an episode of not feeling well. Couple of weeks later we then got a fine from the parking company the airport use. I contested this, providing evidence etc and they denied the appeal (obviously). For that, I won't be bringing anymore clients to the airport and will also avoid other venues that use this parking company! They are very unfair and unresoanable.
