My husband & I shopped in this lovely store yesterday. We saw Steve behind the bakery counter who kindly gave my husband a portion of free fresh yeast for bread making. Steve is a lovely man, he’s very professional & knowledgable. He is friendly & jolly & gives excellent customer service. He obviously enjoys his job & it was a privilege to speak to him yesterday, thank you Steve.

A 24 hour ASDA? Say no more this gets 5 stars. Has all the stuff a bachelor would need. It's a little far off unfortunately but if you've got a car, this place is probably better stocked than Morrisons and is actually a little cheaper as well. Got my meats for a little over less than 20% than the usual price.

Have just left feedback and was given a curt response. Visited Monks Cross store on Wednesday to have blood tests done. The waiting area was grimy and the room where the blood was taken, grubby with marks on the door, walls and floor that had obviously been there for some time. The bannister to the travelator was and probably still is sticky. The floor in the food area was dirty and black around some of the fixtures and the fridges themselves were in a poor state. I needed to use the toilet and while waiting in the queue, 3 women left without washing their hands. Is this why the trollies are so sticky? I requested Asda put signs up in the cubicles, but was told it would happen in due course as, as the request had to go before the committee that spent Asda's money with the company that made the signs, ordering the public to wash their hands. I suggested that they shouldn't wait and make some of their own. The response was, that it would not look professional. Well Asda. You don't look professional, you just look like you have a VERY POOR cleaning team and standard of hygiene within your stores. I would not have rated you with even one star, but I could not proceed unless I did. I will not be shopping at any of your stores again.

I honestly do not understand all the negative comments on here Firstly, the staff in this store are fantastic. They go out of the way to help you The store is clean and tidy, and the shelves always well stacked But the thing that I love most about this store is the freshness of the fruit and vegetables You really can taste the difference By the way, I do not work for Asda, neither do any of my family This is a simple appraisal, and well deserved My only negative comment, it’s a few miles from where I live But well worth the journey
