Ordered an item online for next day delivery from this store. I specifically chose the delivery option to match up with when I would be available to receive the item, which was ordered to be a gift for someone and needed at relatively short notice. All seemed to be going smoothly at first. About an hour into my chosen time slot I received an automated text message saying I was about 10 minutes away from receiving my delivery, and then nothing for an hour. After an hour I then received another automated message that it was not possible to deliver my item and it had been rescheduled for another day. No attempt to deliver had been made. The delivery address was a work address and was permanently open throughout the delivery window I had chosen so there is no reasonable excuse that they were unable to deliver. I noted that the first delivery message gave a mobile number for the driver, 'Ricky' so I called it and there was no answer. I called repeatedly over the next 15 minutes and each time the phone rang and eventually ended up at voice mail. So the phone was on, the person on the other end just refused to answer. In she frustration I called the customer services number that was on the email order receipt and after an excessive amount of time on hold I was put through to a lack-lustre call handler who obviously could not care less about the situation and basically told me that I had been all but lied to - there was never going to be an effort to deliver the item and I would now have to wait for it. They made no attempt to resolve the issue and basically made me feel like I was inconveniencing them for complaining that no delivery had been attempted. What is the point of Argos offering short notice delivery or same day delivery if the cannot actually meet it? They are not the only retailer in the market and customers have a choice over where they shop. After this experience I will be choosing other retailers from now on and would whole heartedly encourage others to do so too.

Don't expect too much from Argos' old touch-screen IBM computers. Simply order online and go to the in-store checkout and you will have no issues as I never have. Perfect in and out store with exactly what you need. The same day delivery service is superb as well.

Standard Argos. Not the biggest in the world but absolutely fine for my purposes. There is free parking outside. I'm not sure if it's time-limited. You can also get Ebay deliveries posted to here for easy pick-up which is really useful.

I know Argos isn't the career choice for anyone with half an education but my god the staff here are hard work. I genuinely can't work out if it's laziness, stupidity or a combination of both but every time I go to collect something there it's like you've just asked the counter staff to run a marathon or do brain surgery.
