popped in to see if one of the colleagues was working - was told she began at 3pm and had a client straight away. advised to return about 3:30, as i did and was welcomed by Vicki smiling and chatty. only needed a beard trim/tidy around, but she made the time i was with her a pleasure, talking and laughing. she did a wonderful job, and i feel is a REAL asset to Arcana. thank you Vicki. :- D

Not what I'm looking for. Booked online, saw my appointment on screen and had an email marked confirmation. Turned up and there was no appointment booked, they blamed a quirk in the booking system. It was something they knew about, but it was 'their little secret' and gave them some kind of giggle. My haircut was adequate, not balanced, long tufts left on my neck, I was poked with sharp scissors and burnt with the hairdryer which made me wince. I was glad to get out.

5/ 5

I came to Arcana to have my dark dyed hair lightened and re-coloured after my previous hairdresser's were rude and dismissive and I'm absolutely over the moon with the result! I was in the salon for 5 hours in total and was made to feel really welcome and not at all rushed. Helen was friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Given how much black dye had built up over the years I would've been happy with a mahogany brown but the lightening treatment worked so well I was able to go for a stunning bright red shade! Really pleased with my cut and style afterwards too. Already looking forward to my next visit after this 5 star service. I would recommend Arcana 110%!

After visiting Arcana for the first time, I was disappointed with my haircut and asked for an additional appointment with a different stylist to rectify this, which the salon kindly agreed to. Unfortunately, I have left today even unhappier with my hair than I was after the first appointment. I was told that my hair was only to be cut dry; I told the stylist Helen that it was unusual for my hair to be cut dry (especially considering my hair type) but she insisted that it was the easiest way for her. The whole appointment felt rushed from the start and especially at the end, as the stylist's next client had arrived. I have visited numerous salons in MK and have never had my layers cut in such a jagged and blunt manner. Both sides are uneven (to my dismay, the stylist simply remarked that 'there's always one side that's better). I received little to no finishing, with just a few swipes of the straightener across the front section of my hair. Considering this appointment was to rectify one that had already gone badly, I was so taken aback at the poor treatment I received. As you might imagine, I am unwilling to risk my hair being cut here a third time round so as upset as I was I simply thanked the stylist and left. Whilst I appreciate the salon agreeing to the second attempt and the friendliness of some staff members, the quality of the service itself and the lack of skill was so disappointing. Worst haircut I've had in over 10 years and I will not be risking this salon again
