A fabulous hotel, great staff, always very helpful. Lewis the General Manager really looked after us. Fabulous Grace was an amazing spa therapist. And Stuart the Golf pro was very helpful at the spa and telling us about Al the further plans for the spa and golf facilities. We look forward to returning when it's all completed!! Thanks for a lovely weekend 🌞😊

Hotel - Fantastic. Clean, modern and recently refurbished. The staff were outstanding, not easy as due to Covid issues staffing levels were low. The food was tremendous. x4 evening meals were all perfect and would highly recommend. Breakfast also very very nice, proper farm produce ingredients. Golf - Very poor and highly disappointed :( We were fully aware the course was reduced to 9 holes due to a redesign of a new course which was not a problem. Unfortunately the problem was the remaining 9 holes which were not even close to the standards expected. Fairways not cut, greens although receptive were very long and slow and in general the course appeared needed some serious attention. It would appear that all the time and effort is going into the redesign. In time this will be a really nice set up and I will return mainly due to the outstanding hotel however it will be late in 2022 even Spring 2023 in order to give the golf course time to settle.

It has the looks, unfortunately not backed up with the service. Breakfast was very poor, burnt beans, cold bacon and toast, burnt black pudding... we weren't given any milk with our pot of tea and when we asked for some we were treated as if that was our fault? That with very slow service didn't make a very good start to the day. Especially after a poor nights sleep, we like a firm mattress but the one in our double room was like a rock. We stayed when it was very warm and the windows barely open so it was like sleeping in a sauna. I wouldn't recommend to friends unless there is a vast improvement..
