Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore – Cairns

We liked the Alamanda a lot. The resort is older (30+ years), but unlike many of their competitors it has been well maintained. Great for families, nice pool(s), absolute beach front, and right near all the action of Palm Cove. Easily stroll to restaurants. Good car parking (free) including both above and underground options. We also liked the big living area and kitchen which was well separated from the bedroom, and with nice big smart television. People should be aware that there are several levels of stairs and no elevators. Therefore, not ideal for anyone with mobility challenges (unless you can get a ground floor apartment). If you have lots of luggage it needs to be carried up and down those stairs. Of course, the staff are happy to help, but it is hard work and often there is only one staff member on duty and getting big heavy bags up/down the stairs is no easier for them. Don't let the stairs put you off, just be aware, otherwise this is a nice place to stay!

Palm Cove is the best place to stay in far North Queensland. The Alamanda has the best location in Palm Cove, on the side of the esplanade with direct beach access. I don't normally write reviews but my wife and I was so over whelmed with Kaye's fantastic service and support when we had to reschedule our trip due to unforseen events. All of the people at the resort are friendly and helpful but Kaye was the superstar for us!

Fantastic location close to everything! We had a 2 bedroom ocean facing room on the ground floor, fantastic position to capture the sunrise and hear the waves crashing during the night. A special mention to Dan at the front desk who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable at all times. Thanks Dan!

Absolutely beautiful resort grounds and huge apartments! My partner and myself chose this for our very first holiday as a married couple and it did not fail to disappoint! We were shocked by the size of the apartment, which is massive!! The apartment itself albeit slightly dated, was clean and bright. You even get to order room service or poolside service via the convenience of an app. No need to pick up the phone to speak with anyone. Special mention to the lovely Kaye from reception. From surprising us with a bottle of wine, to always waving at us as we pass reception, to the many occasions she stopped to find out how our day was even though she was busy running around... She made it a home away from home. Will most definitely we back next time when it is not so hot.

Amazing staff. Clean, great location. I accidentally left my wallet behind and return back home. The honest staff promptly posted my wallet back home. Grateful for their friendliness and reliability.
