Abercrombie House – Bathurst

The house has very interesting furniture but has dead animals skins. Other then that they can be suitable for animal lovers because of a cat named Wilson, a turtle called Henry/Hank, an unnamed tabby and many, many peacocks in the garden. Perfect for history lovers too! Sometimes, you can just have a look around the garden outside. There is a church, an antique store and many more! Also, you don't need a guided tour because there is many signs of information inside and out.

We visited the house during Easter holiday. The entrance fee is $15 each and there are lots to look around. Very beautiful garden and antiques in the house. Highly recommended to visit! * thanks for finding my lost wallet and sending it back to me*

A gem of a place and the history of the families was fascinating. Thank you for the time spent with the first hand knowledge given by the present owners which made it even more special. Hopefully we will return in the not too distant future.

Period furniture makes this home look like you're back in the 1800s. We'll done. One of the best historic houses in Australia. Pity the gardens aren't up to the same standard.

Well preserved place. Such places are rare in Australia. Coming from UK, we found it a bit small compared to the palaces and castles or historical houses we have visited there. Hence 4 star instead of 5.
