It all started so well, they responded to my inquiries promptly and booked a design appointment quickly. We worked with the designer to come up with the kitchen and paid once the price had been haggled. Unfortunately that was where our positive experience ended, they changed the delivery date and we were left with an entire kitchen in our living room for a week. When the builder went to install he found several items missing or wrong. Then when everything was finished there were several items left over, and not small things, entire units. Furthermore the designer hadn't measured accurately and our fridge doesn't fit resulting in more work to remove a wall. When trying to return the left over items I was told because they had been unwrapped they wouldn't take them back, I will be contesting the payment on my credit card to resolve. Shame because the final product we are generally happy with. If everything goes right I'm sure you would be happy with their products but in the event of a problem you may find yourself out of luck (and dealing with staff who have a real attitude).

Service that I received from this store could not be faulted. Dealt with the manager, Darren who is really friendly and gave excellent help and advice when I was purchasing my kitchen, resulting in me being delighted with my new kitchen, so much so that I have recommended to friends and family.

Rating for poor response and communication from Howdens. It depends on who you get assigned and the time of day/month/year. If you haven’t purchased or paid, you get quicker responses. Once you’ve paid for your order, response is nonexistent, sporadic or your queries/requests are completely ignored. I’ve asked several times for a soft copy of my final drawings and plans for my records after payment and delivery and haven’t received it yet after at least 2 months now. Howdens also automatically fit you with upgraded materials even though standard drawers suffice which cost half the price. Prices aren’t transparent, so that’s how they get you. I designed the entire kitchen, noted every single fitting by item number that was in the catalog and website and still had to liaise several times before understanding the costs a bit clearer. Even so, small detailed items that I asked for prices for were neglected so I just didn’t bother. Unless you have worked with howdens for a while or have someone really good that responds quickly and is extremely helpful, be prepared to do a lot of the leg work.

Not good at returning calls or answering the phones. However, agents are helpful and do all they can to remedy problems when you eventually get through.

Filled in online design application, with hand drawn pictures, measurements and photos. Missed a phone call from a designer. Called back on 2 separate occasions, and was told I'd be called back another day. Never heard back again. This was a month ago. Went with Magnet Kitchens instead, currently doing 50% off. Either they're so busy they don't need the extra business, or they're missing out on potential customers by poor customer service - hence the 3.8 stars on Google.

The customer service in this branch is awful, if I was a first time customer I wouldn’t be returning.
