City Tailors bath

I cannot recommend Ben and his team highly enough. I needed 'the perfect dress' to host an international gala at the Tower of London and that's exactly what City Tailors created for me. Ben was great at helping me choose the right design and the right fabric, then went to great lengths to ensure that the beautiful gown fitted me like a glove. On the big night I felt fantastic, knowing that one thing I didn't have to worry about was my dress :-).

City Tailors is the best kept secret among us residents in Bath and they are used as well by the top outlets in Bath; we have used them for 15 years . They have done absolute wonders to my husband’s best jackets and formal suits that after some years have needed some updating in the cut. I have taken delicate items myself and even when the size is much larger they always do a first class job. This is a professional skill hard to find nowadays besides they are straightforward and professional in their suggestions when you expect an imposible alteration. I have always found them very accommodating despite their busy schedule. It reminds me of the ‘ unassuming’ and highly skilled old fashion ateliers we have lost in Britain.

Found City Tailors via Google, I'm so glad I did. My step daughters bridal gown was purchased from a shop in Newport, but I wanted the alterations more local to us. Ben was extremely helpful from my first initial email enquiry in regards to time scales etc. Every email sent was answered and absolutely nothing was to much trouble. Our first appointment was relaxed we weren't rushed as it took a while to lace up the gown but all the staff were helpful and friendly. It wasn't the easiest dress to alter as I'm sure they'll agree, due to lots of skirt layers and also the lace neck detailing but it was all explained very well. I asked for an estimated cost which was happily given and it came in under this. Ben seen us through it from start to finish and I'm please to say Becky looked stunning on the day. A huge thank you to everyone at City Tailors I would highly recommend and if we, as a family need anything doing we'll be back to see you all. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

City tailors offers a high quality service at a reasonable price. I chose this tailor in particular because of a review from a lesbian couple needing their wedding dresses altered. I was initially nervous, and as a trans man and these things can be difficult, but City Tailors is very welcoming and courteous, and I was comfortable the entirely time. Can’t recommend this place enough

Really, really great. Probably one of the cheaper options but couldn't really be better value. Spent about ten minutes in there, getting measured and including going to pick up the trousers. Very helpful, skilled and nice people.

I sent my wool coat here to have a French seam repaired after the another tailor turned the job down, great service and excellent repair work

I highly recommend City Tailors. They were able to repair a ripped seam in my sons school blazer at very short notice with only a 3 hour time frame from dropping it off to when it was ready for collection. And at a very reasonable price too. Thank you so much
